THE REMARKABLES TRAIL

The Remarkables' trail map is a key tool for exploring this stunning Queenstown ski area. It showcases diverse terrain, from wide-open groomers perfect for beginners to challenging chutes and off-piste areas for advanced skiers and riders. The map highlights the lift network, including the gondola and chairlifts, and helps you navigate to different parts of the mountain. Look for marked terrain parks for freestyle enthusiasts and clearly indicated on-mountain facilities like cafes and restaurants. Using the trail map, you can plan your day, choose runs suited to your ability, and stay safe by noting any closures or warnings.

Trip itinerary and details

  • Day 1: Arrival at Queenstown International Airport

    • For your convenience, we recommend scheduling your flight arrival between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM.  Hotel check-in begins at 2:00 PM, and our private car service will be available to meet you upon your arrival at the airport.  Please inform us of your flight details, including your estimated arrival time, so we can coordinate your pick-up.

  • Day 2, 3, 4: Coronet Peak Ski Resort

    To Coronet Peak Ski Resort.

    • 7:36 AM Pick-up: Just a 2-minute walk from the hotel.
    • 4:00 PM: The mountain closes.
    • 4:15 PM: ski bus leaves, so please make sure to be back at the bus by 4:00 PM.
    • 6:30 PM Dinner:  We're going into town, but feel free to do your own thing if you want!

    • We offer hosted leisure riding for those who'd like to ski with our team, but you're also welcome to explore the slopes independently.  It's all about what makes you most comfortable!

  • Day 5: Rest day and welcome dinner

    Day 5 is a rest day. Explore the town at your leisure or join an optional scenic tour (extra cost).

    • TSS Earnslaw Lake Cruise (90-minute cruise across Lake Wakatipu).
    • Walter Peak High Country Farm (tour duration 3 hours and 30 minutes).

    • Tonight, enjoy a welcome dinner at a popular restaurant in Queenstown, known for its South African-inspired cuisine, particularly its ribs and steaks, it offers stunning views of Lake Wakatipu.

  • Day 6, 7: The Remarkables Ski Resort

    To Remarkables Ski Resort.

    • 7:44 AM Pick-up: Just a 1-minute walk from the hotel.
    • 4:00 PM: The mountain closes.
    • 4:15 PM: ski bus leaves, so please make sure to be back at the bus by 4:00 PM.
    • 6:30 PM Dinner: We're going into town, but feel free to do your own thing if you want!

    • We offer hosted leisure riding for those who'd like to ski with our team, but you're also welcome to explore the slopes independently.  It's all about what makes you most comfortable!

  • Day 8: Departure from Queenstown International Airport

    • To ensure a smooth departure, we suggest aiming for a flight departure time after 12:00 PM. Hotel check-out is at 10:00 AM, and our private car will be ready to pick you up from the hotel and take you to the airport. Kindly provide us with your flight details, including your desired pick-up time, so we can arrange your transfer.

  • Trip details and guest care reminder

    • Each morning, guests will receive a comprehensive briefing encompassing the weather forecast, mountain conditions, and the day's scheduled activities.

    • Your rest day is a free day to explore Queenstown!  Check out the town centre, do some shopping, or maybe take a scenic tour – lake cruises and Walter Peak are great options.  We'll all get together that night for a welcome dinner in town, known for its South African-inspired cuisine, particularly its ribs and steaks.

    • We'll be riding together on a ski bus up and down the mountain, so getting to the slopes will be super easy!  Our hotel is in the centre of Queenstown, too – just a 15-minute walk to all the shops and restaurants.  You won't need to worry about taxis or anything like that.

  • Exclusions

       Not included on the package:  

    • International and domestic flight tickets.
